SHORT DESCRIPTION OF M.MED(ORTHO) PROGRAMME.

The course consist of preclinical and clinical studies.  Preclinical is composed of physiology, Human Anatomy and Pathology for one year.  Clinical areas cover orthopaedics and trauma surgery.  It is also composed of adult and paediatric orthopaedics.  Casualty is covered at the time of preclinical rotation.  There are two examinations at the end of preclinicals and after the clinical being the final examination.  Each candidate must present a dissertation relevant to orthopaedic practice and show a satisfactory log book before he/she can sit the final examination.
