INFORMATION FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS.

  1. The department is open to training of undergraduate students in orthopaedic as part of the overall MBChB degree.
  1. Postgraduate programme going on in M.Med(Ortho).

The requirements are:-

Candidates eligible for admission into the Masters in Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery programme shall have the following qualifications and characteristics:

  1. Recognised MBCHB Degree or its equivalent.
  2. Successfully completed internship.
  3. Be registrable or eligible for licence as a medical practitioner with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
  4. Proof of proficiency in the English language is essential.
  5. The course structure leading to the award of the degree shall extend over a minimum of three years.

(In addition to provision of evidence of eligibility for admission, candidates will be required by the school to appear for interview to determine their suitability for admission.)

  1. Currently there are 35 M.Med (Ortho) students,  six (6) of these are sitting their finals in August 2013.
  1. PhD programmes are being developed.
